Congratulations to Coby, Hoku, Kayla, Alyssa, Sha’tres, and Sarah for becoming certified referees.  It’s a great way to learn the game from a different perspective and earn money.  Great job we’re all proud of you.

Raptors win the 5v5 Futsol Tournament.

Congratulations Raptors (Heat) for wining the 5v5 Futsol tournament! Ok so we split the team up into 3 teams and Auntie Sheri named them Lunachicks, Heat, and Wildfire.  I know, the girls weren’t impressed either.  The “Heat” won the tournament!  I think everyone that was there can agree that the best game of the tournament for all of our games was the first game against Wildfire. Heat won 10 – 9. What an exciting game. Then they went on to beat Fusion and Pahoehoe to make it to the finals where they beat Leahi Maile. Once again Congratulations Hoku, Ary, Jamie, Sarah, Jessica, and Alyssa.  Oh yeah.. Kayla helped out in the Final since Leahi Maile had 9 players but the maximum roster size was 8.  I also want to thank some of our guest players who came out.. Bailey from Kaui, Krista from Maui, and Haley from Oahu.  Thanks for the help and I hope you enjoyed it.

Congratulations once again to our awesome girls.  The Raptors finished off a long season with a final win in the 2009 Aloha International Cup.  They shut out all of their opponents leading up to the final and only gave up one goal in the tournament.  Well done Raptors!

Ok… once again it’s been too long since our last post. Last weekend our awesome girls won the Hawaii International Cup (HIC) sponsored by the Bulls Soccer Club.  The girls played exceptionally well throughout the tournament starting with a very exciting game against REAL Copa.  We tied that game 2 – 2.  We then managed to beat the Bulls 1 – 0, Blitz Fusion 4 – 0, and FC Bratz 8 – 0.

Congratulations Raptors for making it to the finals once again! You continue to improve individually and as a team.  We have some work ahead of us so next year we can win the title! Your coaches and your parents are extrememly proud of you.

Raptors finished 2nd in U12 Season

Congratulations girls on finishing the U12 HYSA competitive season in 2nd place.  Keep up the good work! You girls continue to improve and great things will happen if you continue to train hard.

President’s Day Cup Finalists!

Congratulations Raptors for making it through the President’s Day cup as finalist.  The girls made it through the weekend with tremendous courage as they had to play five games in all and through several injuries.  We are all very proud of all of you.

Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot

Sorry it’s been so long since our last post but I’ve been extremely busy at work.  I hope to update the site more often now.  Well the big news is that the Raptors had a really good tournament in Vegas this past Thanksgiving.  We were all extremely proud of their effort and performance.  We were matched up with some good teams and our girls stepped up for the challange.  We won our first two games and tied our third game to make it out of pool play.  We barely lost 2 -1 in the semi-final match to the Colorado Rush Nike team.  The Raptors really proved they can compete as they out-played the Rush in the second half and nearly tied the game several times.  Their effort in the end was truely amazing and I couldn’t be more proud of them.  This was their first mainland tournament together and we’re all looking forward to our next one. I’m putting together a photo gallery and hope to post it very soon.

Ka`oi Soccer Club will be holding it’s Open Tryouts on June 28th and June 29th, 2008.
Location: Waiau District Park (Lower Field)

Times:
U8 – U12 (10:00am – 12:00pm)
U13 – U17 (1:00pm – 3:00pm)
